"THE" plane taking me from Tokyo Haneda to Sapporo. Onboard the headrest covers and class divider curtains are in Pokemone style as well. This livery draws a lot of attention to it and not only to children.There were several adults in the gate area with their mobile phones taking pictures.

While in LV I stayed at the Hilton Resort on Paradise Rd. on a $41.00 per night rate incl.breakfast. Upon check-in I was given 2 vouchers for a free drink in any of their bars worth $10 each. Once in the room I had the option to not have my room serviced  (stayed 2 nights) and instead would receive a voucher worth $10.00 to use anywhere in the hotel. Considering the room rate was only $41.00 and a $30.00 worth of vouchers I ended up paying only $11.00 plus tax for the 1st night. Now that's what I call a DEAL! ;-)

Kick off summer vacation 2010

An uneventful  flight to LAX  on Swiss is the start to my summer vacation heading to Las Vegas and eventually to Japan.

UA and CO logo

When the planned merge between UA and CO was anounced the logo in the top left corner was released. A poor approach in my opinion. Just recently it was changed to the one on the right hand side. When I saw it for the first time it reminded me of a font I had seen before within UA previously but was not sure where. Today I figured it out.The font of the new logo is similar to the type used back in the 80's. Look closely at the letters U and D.

I'm wondering if this is as good as it gets  for a company who wants to move forward and compete with the best in the industry. I won't be surprised if a  third new logo will be revealed over the next 2 years.
